Crisis Go & Prevent and Protect
CrisisGo: School Safety & Reporting
The safety of our students is our highest priority. As part of the Archdiocese of St. Louis's ongoing commitment to secure schools, St. Rose of Lima uses CrisisGo, a comprehensive safety platform that strengthens how we prepare for, communicate during, and respond to any emergency.
CrisisGo gives our staff and first responders advanced tools to alert, communicate, and coordinate the moment a situation arises. It also gives our whole community, students, parents, and guardians, a simple way to speak up when something isn't right.
If you see or hear anything involving threats, weapons, violence, bullying, drugs, self-harm, or any other school safety concern, please report it by clicking the link above. Your report goes directly to school administrators and the Archdiocesan tip line.
How CrisisGo keeps our school safe
- Emergency alerts and communication. CrisisGo delivers instant alerts through text, email, and app notifications, so staff, administrators, and first responders are informed in real time and can act quickly.
- Coordination with first responders. In a serious situation, the platform securely shares critical information with law enforcement, so they have accurate details to respond effectively.
- A confidential tip line. The reporting tool above lets our community flag potential threats or concerns before they become emergencies.
A note for families
We always encourage students to talk with a teacher, administrator, or another trusted adult about anything that's troubling them. The tip line doesn't replace those conversations. It's simply one more way for all of us to help keep our St. Rose family safe.
If you are facing an emergency or someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Protecting Every Child
Protecting the children entrusted to us is a sacred responsibility. St. Rose of Lima participates fully in the Archdiocese of St. Louis's Safe Environment Program, led by the Office of Child and Youth Protection, to make sure our school is a place where every child is safe, respected, and cared for.
For our staff and volunteers
Every employee and every volunteer who works with or near children at St. Rose must meet the Archdiocese's safe environment requirements before they can serve.
That includes:
- Attending a Protecting God's Children live workshop, with online updates every three years
- Reading and signing the Archdiocese's Code of Ethical Conduct
- Completing online training on recognizing and reporting abuse
- Passing a national criminal background check, with regular updates
Protecting God's Children, developed by VIRTUS®, teaches adults to recognize the warning signs of abuse, understand how offenders operate, and take steps to prevent it. A Child Safety Coordinator at our school keeps our records current, and the Archdiocese audits compliance every year.
For our students
Students in grades K through 8 receive age-appropriate Safe Touch instruction each year. This curriculum, developed with West County Psychological Associates and the Archdiocesan Child Safety Committee, helps children understand personal boundaries, online safety, and how to protect themselves, in language that's right for their age.
Learn more or get involved
Parents who wish to volunteer are always welcome and will be guided through these safe environment steps. To learn more about the program, find a workshop, or complete the requirements, visit the Archdiocese's site.
